The Garden in June

Everything has gone mad and we haven't finished the rest of the garden yet. Just look at all these lovely flowers. One small problem is that the geraniums are so big they are covering all the other plants, might have to be digging some of those out when I get back round to those borders. Glad I haven't watered anything with Miracle Grow yet!

Replanting the Ferns

This border is going to have steps going down to our small archery range so I cleaned all the dried leaves out and replanted some of the Ferns that are springing up around the rest of the garden. I've also put some Aquilegia to give it a little bit of colour. Solomon's Seal is already in flower and some Geraniums, hopefully the carpet of Ivy will come back and keep the weeds out.

New Patio Set?

The cast iron chairs got a nice makeover, but I will definitely be buying black spray paint next time, so time consuming and I'm pretty sure there are bits I've missed. The patio table was left by the previous owner but is actually the same pattern so I painted that too. All looks like new and will last for many more years to come ... and all Black of course.

The Old Railway

It's so lovely having this at the back of our house. The previous owner used to maintain it and just kept it clear so we have decided to carry this on. Lee spent quite some time strimming back the overgrowth so that there is a nice walkway through. It goes quite far and backs onto the Llama fields. Luna loves it and it's like a secret escape in the Summer, our own private walkway even though it isn't ours. In the Winter it is totally flooded so not really usable, I believe that is one of the main reasons why the Railway was discontinued. A lot of the land was sold off and we think that this was bought by a neighbour but it is not registered at the Land Registry Office so who knows. We all absolutely love it.

Fixing and Spraying the Fence

Another productive day in the garden. After fixing the fence, Lee has put on his 'Blue Man' suit and is happily spraying away. As usual nothing goes to plan and we have run out of paint so the rest will just have to wait :)
